PICTURING ME Exhibition in Berlin

Picturing Me is a collaborative art project of filmmaker and photographer Sarah Sandring with 15 children from the Indian village of Chotian, Punjab. Over a period of two months Sandring taught them photography. Using instant photography and writing, they explored their views on themselves, their families, community and dreams. Like other villages of its district in Southern Punjab, Chotian is hard-hit by farmers’ suicide due to debt. A rare portrait.
